Ralph Arundel (alias Papillon)
Abbot and Priest/Minister
Ralph Arundel was Abbot of Westminster from 1200 to 1214. He was buried in the nave of the old Norman Abbey which was later demolished.

The Reverend Dr William Loe, alias Leo, was buried in Poets' Corner Westminster Abbey, near the entrance to St Faith's chapel on 21st September 1645.

Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was held at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. Her wedding to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took place in 1947. Her funeral was held on 19th September 2022.

Ashes of Dr Wesley Carr buried in the Abbey

Evensong on Tuesday 24th April 2018 was followed by the burial of the ashes of the Very Reverend Dr Wesley Carr KCVO, who was Dean of Westminster from 1997 to 2006.
